The Coronie Cultural Center was unused for years and came near to collapsing. It is set in the settlement of Totness (Western Suriname), amidst a large number of historical buildings.

In phase 1 (2010) the existing wooden structure – a former school building – was restorated.  It has been  turned into a public multi purpose event facility.

Phase 2 (built 2011) is an extension to the facility and will house the first Community Hub which Telesur is planning to construct in the various districts.
